We’ve introduced dedicated prescription templates in Dentally, making it easier for clinicians to create and manage prescriptions directly from the patient's correspondence.
Previously, you used letter templates as a flexible way to produce prescriptions. This update introduces a more purpose-built workflow designed specifically for prescription creation.
Australian users should still follow the same process as before.
Dedicated prescription templates
Users can now create templates in ‘Settings’ → ‘Templates’ → ‘Prescriptions’, making them easier to locate and use.
Simplified prescription workflow
Practitioners can generate prescriptions directly from the patient record via ‘Correspondence’ → ‘New Correspondence’ → New Prescription’.
Clearer record keeping
Prescriptions are automatically saved to the patient’s correspondence tab with a timestamp for easy reference.
Locked after printing
Prescriptions remain editable while being prepared, but once printed the document is locked so the issued version is preserved.
This update introduces a clearer workflow for creating prescriptions, supporting the typical process of printing, signing, and issuing prescriptions while maintaining an accurate clinical record within Dentally.
