š All your Portal links now start with āyourpracticename.portal.dentalā

Weāre excited to announce some updates to the Dentally chart and introduce the new socket selection feature for users with Tooth status and our Root Charting early adoption users.
These chart updates are rolling out now, so get ready to enhance your entire charting experience š
We have made some strides in enhancing the logic behind your chart screen to enhance your user experience. Based on valuable feedback from you, our users, we've made significant changes to how missing teeth are displayed.
The odontogram view will now* only show teeth where a tooth is present, meaning icons for missing teeth no longer appear on both the base and treatment planning lines. Itās important to note that you can still chart whole tooth treatments, such as implants, bridges, or dentures, over gaps where no tooth is present.
This change aims to reduce confusion and prevent treatments from being accidentally added to the wrong teeth, ensuring a smoother and more accurate charting experience.
Read more about the updated odontogram view over on the Help Centre here.
šØ Important: *This feature is currently (as of July 2024) in the early adoption phase and is only available to sites using the Tooth Status backfill.
Socket selection is here for root users! Simplify your base charting process with the new socket selection drop down list, This is particularly useful when initially base charting a patientās permanent dentition or updating their status on subsequent visits.
How to Use Socket Selection:
This feature can be used alongside normal base charting or even while treatment planning, streamlining your workflow and improving accuracy.
Learn more about using socket selection in our handy Help Centre guide here.
šØ Important: Socket selection is only available to users with Root View enabled.

We have listened to your feedback and can now share some exciting changes to transform how you create and manage clinical notes.
This update ensures that clinical notes are never missed, lost or overwritten, even when different team members are working on the patient's plan at the same time.
Weāve addressed two key scenarios to help make your charting experience as seamless and stress-free as possible:
Head over to our help guide here for more information on both scenarios and to familiarise yourself with your new clinical notes workflow.
This update reinforces Dentally's commitment to improving efficiency and safeguarding patient data. With these enhancements, you can work confidently knowing your clinical notes are safe and sound.
We introduced āPersonalā treatment plan templates alongside āSharedā ones, to help you streamline your own individual charting process and they just got even better!
When creating and using treatment plan templates, āPersonalā templates will now retain additional details such as clinical notes and any custom price and duration settings. This update is all about giving you more customisation when creating templates for a smoother surgery experience.
When saving a treatment plan template as āSharedā, it will behave as templates always have ā visible to all users and applying the default treatment settings like pricing, duration, and notes.
When you use a shared treatment plan template, the items are arranged according to their original setup, perfect for standardised procedures across multiple users and locations.
Hereās where it gets interesting! āPersonalā templates are individual to each user, and they now allow you to save your customised tweaks! š
When saving a āPersonalā template, Dentally will now retain:
Now, every time you apply your āPersonalā template, it will be tailored to your exact needs ā no more need for manual adjustments!
Remember, you can even apply multiple templates to a single treatment plan. Start with one template, and if the plan evolves, just layer on another! This makes it even easier for you to create comprehensive, efficient treatment plans.
