Introducing a new way of linking appointments in Dentally!

Kevin avatar
Shared by Kevin • March 25, 2024

Say hello to our latest game-changing enhancement, which has made linking appointments smoother than ever!

The new 'Link Appointment' button is designed to streamline your workflow and will be rolling out across all sites over the coming weeks.

This small but mighty button (which looks like a small link or chain 🔗) is found on the patient's chart screen. It is located on the right side of the screen, next to each appointment. See below 👇

This new button aims to simplify the process of linking appointments, meaning streamlined workflows for both reception and clinical users!

To read more about how you can link appointments in Dentally head over to our help centre here.

You may be asking yourself...

Why is linking appointments so important in Dentally?

Linking appointments is not only the best practice when it comes to housekeeping but it also has a host of other benefits, such as:

  • Clarity for clinical users: ensures practitioners have a clear view of completed and/or pending service items within a treatment plan.
  • Clarity for administrative staff: provides administrative staff with clear information on requested appointments, facilitating smoother booking workflows.
  • Visibility of scheduled work: allows for a better understanding of work that is already in the diary vs appointments that still need booking for the patient.
  • Accurate private forecasting: helps ensure precise forecasting for private practice revenue.

How have we improved your workflows?

With this improved feature, users can now click the 'Link Appointment' button directly on the patient chart to access a list of suitable calendar appointments, eliminating the need for navigating between tabs.

We understand that managing appointments has been somewhat of a complex task in the past. However, this enhancement is here to revolutionise those workflows.

We have built this to offer you new ways to quickly and effortlessly link your appointments directly from the chart, contributing to smoother practice operations for you and your colleagues.

Don't worry if you cant see this button just yet, this feature is being slowly released across sites worldwide over the coming weeks and it will be with you soon!

You can use the red 'Give Feedback' at the bottom of the chart screen to let us know what you think of the new way to link appointments.

Stay tuned for more exciting updates coming soon!

Dentally Vision's latest update is now LIVE - including new phosphor plate imaging capabilities!

Anke avatar
Shared by Anke • March 20, 2024

We are excited to announce Dentally Vision's biggest update so far, which includes the much-awaited ability to capture and stack additional phosphor plate images! 🚀

In this update, we are delivering you a range of new features aimed at simplifying your workflow and empowering your practice through useful tools and advanced reporting capabilities.

To benefit from these new features as soon as possible, you MUST update your acquisition agent. To do this, please follow the instructions in the dedicated help guide here 👉 How to check for Dentally Vision updates?

The biggest highlight of this update is the ability to capture and stack additional phosphor plate images through the Dentally Vision workflow ⭐️ But the changes do not end there! Other new features include:

  • Stackable images: Now, you can create stacks of images when acquiring a phosphor plate. This means when you capture more than one image of the same tooth, you can simply drag and drop them all onto the same spot of a template to upload all of the images instead of just one! This makes for easier viewing and comparison, resulting in better analysis and diagnosis.
  • Undelete functionality: Never worry about accidentally deleting important images when capturing a phosphor plate exam. Dentally Vision now enables you to undelete images you have previously deleted, ensuring that valuable patient data is always retrievable. (Please note that this function is specific to phosphor plate image capturing).
  • Recovering images: Images left unused in the 'Scanned Images' section of the acquire screen can now be sent to recovery. This means the next time you open the patient in Dentally Vision, you will see the recovered images waiting in 'Scanned Images' for you to use.
  • Resume exams with recovered images: Should you ever need to pause the acquisition process, Dentally Vision now allows you to seamlessly use your recovered images when resuming procedures at a later date. This feature ensures continuity of care without the hassle of reacquiring images.

This entire update aims to help you further streamline your imaging processes while delivering exceptional patient care. To delve further into the details of this update you may find the following articles useful as you get started using the new tools:

If you have any questions, please reach out to Ellie Bot and the support team for further help and guidance as you familiarise yourself with these new features.

Curious about how efficient your days are in surgery?

Then look no further! Dentally's latest Beta feature, the Practitioner Utilisation Report, is here to help you understand how well your practice is running.

This report is accessible under the new drop-down menu on the practice dashboard. Simply change the drop-down to 'Analytics.' This innovative tool offers invaluable insights into practitioners' upcoming workloads, empowering you to maximise patient care and revenue generation.

Utilisation is a critical metric to measure when running a successful dental practice. It helps determine the extent to which practitioners' schedules are occupied with patient appointments.

With the Practitioner Utilisation Report, practice managers gain a comprehensive overview of each practitioner's availability, up to four weeks in advance. You can use the report to visualise your Dentally calendar through colour-coded charts, making it easy for managers to swiftly identify underutilised time slots and take proactive measures to optimise scheduling ahead of time.

The report not only highlights the percentage of time allocated to patient appointments but also offers a breakdown of utilised and unutilised hours, empowering practices to make data-driven decisions to help reach business goals.

Access the Practitioner Utilisation Report and leverage its benefits directly from your dashboard today! 👇

With this report, we want to empower you to anticipate and address scheduling gaps in advance, enabling you to deliver exceptional patient care whilst maximising efficiency and revenue.

As this is a Beta feature, we strongly encourage users to use the red 'Give Feedback' button. This feedback goes straight to our development team and helps us facilitate ongoing improvements tailored to our users.

New Dentally Portal URL for Improved Customer Experience and Reinforced Trust

Simon avatar
Shared by Simon • February 22, 2024

Our latest enhancement to Dentally Portal is coming soon!

We want to introduce you to our new, industry-specific URL: portal.dental

This transition is part of our ongoing commitment and dedication to enhancing the overall customer experience and solidifying trust in our online dental solutions. Practices already using Dentally Portal do not need to do anything to receive the benefits of this update once it goes live. Let's delve a little deeper into a few of the key features of this URL transition:

  • Industry-Specific URL: We wanted to make Dentally Portal instantly recognisable not only by our customers but also among your own patients. By introducing a URL specifically tailored to the dental industry, we can instil confidence in your patients when it comes to utilising the online tools accessible to them.
  • Enhanced SMS Communication: The adoption of the shorter portal.dental URL promises to streamline communication channels, particularly through SMS. The reduced length of URLs allows for more concise and informative messages, ultimately enhancing the overall patient experience with Dentally's services.
  • Seamless Redirection: To ensure a smooth transition, visitors attempting to access the previous Dentr.net website will be automatically redirected to the new portal.dental URL for the next year. This seamless redirection mitigates any inconvenience or disruption for customers, ensuring uninterrupted access to Dentally Portal.

This update aligns with our mission to create a more secure, efficient, and patient-focused online environment. By prioritising enhanced communication and user-centric solutions, Dentally can continue to set a high standard in dental healthcare technology.

Once this update goes live, it will happen automatically in the background and requires no additional action from you at the practice.
